Privacy Notice

This notice describes the information Miller County Busted Mugshots may receive when someone visits, uses a search box, or sends a message. It explains how that information is used, when outside providers may receive it, and what choices a visitor can request.

Information Sent Directly

Search entries

A name or location typed into a search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Miller County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms govern the request after it leaves the page.

Messages

An email or contact message can include the sender's address and any details supplied in the message. Those details are retained as needed to read, respond, and keep a basic communication record. They are not shared outside the organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure.

Technical Details and Cookies

Normal page loads can produce technical data used to keep the service working and understand broad usage patterns.

  • IP address or a related network identifier.
  • Browser type and version.
  • Device type and operating system.
  • Pages visited and approximate time on each.
  • Referring page, when one is supplied.
  • Visit timestamps and basic error data.

Cookie choices

Cookies or similar tools may help measure visits and remember settings. Browser controls can block or delete them. Some features may behave differently when those tools are disabled.

How Information Is Used

Collected information may be used to keep the pages available, route a search to the right partner, understand which explanations are useful, diagnose technical problems, and show advertising that may be relevant to general interests. The goal is service operation and measurement, not the creation of an official Miller County record.

Official records remain with offices such as the Miller County Sheriff's Office, the Colquitt Police Department, the courts, or the Georgia Department of Corrections.

Links Beyond This Resource

Pages link to sheriff, jail, court, corrections, federal, news, and third-party services. Once a visitor follows a link, that provider's privacy policy controls. Miller County Busted Mugshots does not control the other service's cookies, retention, security, or data use.

Advertising partners may measure activity across sites on their own systems. Their tracking and choices are governed by their policies and available opt-out tools.

Who May Receive Data

Personal information is not sold by Miller County Busted Mugshots as a standalone data product. It may be handled by the following categories when needed for the service:

  • Search partners that process a submitted query.
  • Analytics providers that measure page use.
  • Ad networks and delivery vendors.
  • Service providers that host, secure, or maintain the pages.
  • Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order.

Security Limits

Reasonable technical and administrative practices are used to protect information. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however, and no promise can be made that data will never be exposed through an attack, outage, or provider failure.

Visitors Under 18

The service is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor sent personal information, a parent or guardian may use Contact Us to request review and deletion.

Requests About Personal Data

Depending on the information and applicable law, a person may ask what data is held, request a correction, ask that information be deleted, or object to a particular processing use. A request should identify the sender and the data at issue without sending unnecessary sensitive details.

  • Ask for a copy of personal data held.
  • Point out inaccurate contact or account information.
  • Request deletion where retention is not required.
  • Ask about opting out of a stated processing use.

Requests can be sent through Contact Us. Search terms sent to an outside search partner must be addressed with that provider.

Changes to This Notice

Privacy practices can change as tools, vendors, or legal duties change. A revised notice will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised text applies to later activity.
